When a midi becomes a maxi…

By October 16, 2014Uncategorized

One of the unique challenges of finding clothes that look good when you’re on the short side is that hemlines tend be longer than expected. Mini skirts become midis and midi skirts become maxis – and unless you’re prepared to chop a foot of fabric from the bottom of your dress then maxis are pretty much a no-go zone (unless you love holding your dress up or falling on your face all the time).

Our latest batch of clothing to hit the site saw us embrace high-waisted midi skirts and crop tops (hell, after shooting wrapped with our models I wore the Sarah Racer Crop Top and In Youth Midi Skirt to my birthday because I loved the look so much!), but with our shortest model Sandy these looks came across a little bit different (although just as lovely!).

When we sent her out for a bit of an explore around Melbourne she hiked the skirt up so high it was literally a dress. So there’s a tip for all the super short ladies out there… Double your wardrobe by turning your maxis into a shorter dress.
